Objective of YESDI:

The Youth Employment & Skill Development Institute (YESDI) is a forward-looking TVET institute in Bangladesh, committed to empowering youth through technical vocational education & training and employment support. Operating virtually, YESDI focuses on building trainer capacity, enhancing digital and workplace skills, and fostering industry connections to ensure quality and demand-driven technical education. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), YESDI strives to advance quality education (SDG 4), promote decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), and strengthen industry partnerships (SDG 9) to contribute to sustainable development in Bangladesh. Its motto, Training. Growth. Employment., reflects its mission to equip youth for meaningful careers and economic progress.

Mission of YESDI:

  • Deliver high-quality, competency-based technical training (CBT) that meets industry demands and enhances youth employability.

  • Enhance the capacity of TVET trainers to adopt modern, interactive, and digital learning approaches.

  • Act as a bridge between technical trainees and industries to foster practical, hands-on experience.

  • Focus on workplace skills development to prepare youth for sustainable careers and economic productivity.

  • Promote partnerships with industries, government, and international stakeholders to achieve collective goals aligned with SDG 4, SDG 8, and SDG 9.

To empower youth with technical skills and employment opportunities through innovative, industry-driven, and inclusive training aligned with national priorities and global development goals.

2.  Objective:

  • Increase the capacity of 150+ trainers annually through specialized training programs.
  • Support at least 50+ SMEs in integrating with the TVET sector by 2026.
  • Facilitate industry linkages for at least 500 TVET graduates per year.
  • Establish 8 new TVET institutions with NSDA accreditation support by 2027.
  • Promote digital learning through e-learning and virtual platforms.
  • Implement TVET policies and strategies for sustainable skills development.
